The traditional 9th festival for people of Limassol (Lemesos), organized by the Leymosun Cultural Foundation with the contributions of Girne (Kyrenia) Municipality, was be held on Wednesday, July 31st at 6 PM, at the Kyrenia Antique Harbour.
The organization, which is held every year under the title ‘Leymosunlular Picnic’, was held for the first time this year under the name ‘Leymosunlular Festival’. Head of the Leymosun Cultural Foundation Yücem Rasımoğlu and Girne (Kyrenia) Mayor Murat Şenkul delivered a speech during the festival.
The 9th Traditional Leymosunlular Festival included folk dances, concerts, handicrafts, locally produced Cyprus food and beverages, and special goods for Limassol locals. The Nicosia Folklore Centre performed a folk dance show and a Cypriot concert was staged by Grup Otantik. The festival ended with a raffle by the Leymosun Cultural Foundation.
