North Cyprus is expecting VIP guests from Turkey for the 50th anniversary of 20th July operation.
According to Anadolu Agency, in addition to the commemoration, concerts, sports competitions, conferences, seminars, symposiums, and article competitions will be featured during the events.
Turkey’s first aircraft carrier, the Turkish Navy flagship, TCG Anadolu, and many more ships will also take part in the parade to be held in North Cyprus.
Turkish Stars and SOLOTÜRK, the aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force will be performing demonstration flights during the event.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş, cabinet members, political party representatives, and MPs, will be attending the 50th anniversary events in North Cyprus on July 20.
Kurtulmuş will be accompanied by members of the Parliamentary Presidency Council and Group Deputy Chairpersons.
CHP leader Özgür Özel, 174 Cyprus Veterans, Central Executive Board members, and MPs, will also participate in the events.
Dr. Ayşe Güneş Ayata, daughter of Turan Güneş (Foreign Minister of the time), who inspired the “Ayşe should go on vacation” code during the Operation, and former Labor Minister Önder Sav will be attending the ceremony as special guests.
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, DSP leader Önder Aksakal, and BBP leader Mustafa Destici will be accompanying President Erdoğan.
