The Republic of Türkiye has donated excavation and transportation equipment worth €126,500 to the Turkish Cypriot Member Office of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) in Cyprus, it was announced on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Turkish Cypriot Member Office of the CMP, Türkiye has provided a total financial contribution of €1,454,225 to the Committee since 2006.

The latest donation includes an excavator and a vehicle transporter to support ongoing efforts in locating and recovering the remains of missing persons.

The Committee emphasized that such contributions play a crucial role in identifying the remains of missing individuals and returning them to their families, helping to resolve long-standing uncertainty.
