UK stands ready to support work of UN Secretary-General’s personal envoy in Cyprus María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar, UK Minister for Europe Leo Docherty wrote today on X following a meeting with Holguin on Thursday at the Foreign Office.
“2024 will mark 50 years of a divided Cyprus. Today I met María Angela Holguín Cuéllar, UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy on Cyprus. The UK stands ready to support her work with the leaders to begin a new chapter” he said.
