The first intercommunal Pride event will take place on Saturday, June 17th in Nicosia.
The event will feature two parallel marches commencing at 18:00 from two central locations in Nicosia, namely Eleftheria Square and Kuğulu Park.
The marches will culminate at the UN Buffer Zone at 19:00, providing a symbolic gathering space resonating message of inclusivity, justice, peace and unity.
This year the event is co-organised by Queer Collective Cy, Queer Cyprus Association, LGBTQIA+& Allies Students Club of the University of Cyprus, LGBT Pilipinas, African LGBTIQ+ Community Cyprus, LGBTQ+ Cypriot Diaspora, European University Cyprus LGBTQI+ Society.
As the evening progresses, the festivities will continue with DJ sets and drag performances until 11 pm .
All participating acts, performers DJ’s and collaborators are all part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
