Cyprus Chamber Orchestra and U.S. Navy Band gave concert last night called Concert for Peace.
The concert took place at Davies Residence.
US Ambassador Julie D. Fisher’s made a speech before the concert.
Mrs. Fisher said events like this-bicommunal and inclusive-remind the power of music to bring people together.
“We look forward to hearing this wonderful auditory partnership-a collaboration that is literally music to our ears” she said.
She also emphasised that the United States supports Cypriot-led efforts to reunify Cyprus as a bizonal, bicommunal federation with political equality for all Cypriots.
