US sanctions two Cyprus-based companies for supporting Russia


 

Two Cyprus-based companies are included in the latest round of sanctions imposed by the United States on entities supporting Russia’s offensive against Ukraine.
US Ambassador to Cyprus, Julie Fisher, says in a post on platform X that ”USA has sanctioned over 400 entities across 16 countries tied to Russia’s energy sector for supporting Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine, the latest round includes 2 Cyprus-based companies”.
”USA and Cyprus continue to work together to support Ukraine,” the Ambassador concludes.
The US Treasury Department says in an announcement that Kru Overseas Limited is a Cyprus-based subsidiary of Kuzbassrazrezugol. The other company is Lagosmarine Ltd.
