The Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) has announced temporary road closures on Mehmet Akif Street this weekend due to ongoing renovations of the city’s main sewer line. This project, which comes with a price of 36 Million Turkish Lira, is nearing its final stages of completion.
According to the municipal statement, sections of Mehmet Akif Street will be inaccessible to vehicular traffic on Saturday and Sunday. The exact areas affected will depend on the progress of the work, with traffic flow being adjusted accordingly throughout the weekend.
Mehmet Akif Street will be reopened on Monday, September 16, in the morning. Drivers are advised to pay attention to traffic signs and follow directions.
