Pat of the highway from Nicosia to Limassol in the area of Parekklisia will remain closed on Sunday as works are carried out, the department of public works said.
Traffic will be directed onto the opposite lane, with a single lane in each direction.
The department said works will continue until 8pm.
Members of the police will be on site to monitor traffic and direct drivers.
