A 28 year old male who was injured in a traffic accident in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) in the early hours of Friday morning could not be saved despite all efforts.
Veysel Can Sütçü, the driver of ST 889 registration number was seriously injured during an accident where he collided into the rear of a garbage truck on Atatürk Avenue in Lefkoşa at 2.35 am. The rear and projector lights of the garbage truck were on, reports say.
Despite all efforts, Sütçü who was rushed to the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa could not be saved.
Fikri Murat, the driver of garbage truck (NV 533), was arrested following the incident.
A police investigation has been launched.
