30-year-old motorcyclist dies in Limassol on Easter Day


Eftyhios Haritou, 30 years old from Limassol, lost his life after a road accident that occurred yesterday late in the afternoon on the road afternoon on the main road of Kalos Chorio – Limassol.

According to a police statement, 30-year-old was riding his motorcycle on the road and he collided head-on with a car moving in the opposite direction driven by a 44-year-old woman.

At about the same time, a car which was driven by a 33-year-old man collided with the back of the 44-year-old woman’s vehicle.

From the initial collision, the 30-year-old motorcyclist, who was reportedly wearing a protective helmet and full motorcycle outfit was seriously injured.

He was taken by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The occupants in one of the cars were slightly injured while the other car’s occupants were not injured druing the accident.

Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
