4 people detained for 3 days for prescription forgery!


 

Two doctors and two pharmacists, who were arrested for prescription forgery were taken to the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) District Court today. The suspects have been detained for 3 days, it has been reported. Police are searching for one more doctor who is thought to have connections with the incident.

Two doctors, N.P., M.A.S. and two pharmacists İ.T. and S.S, who have been arrested in connection with prescription forgery were brought to Lefkoşa (Nicosia) District Court today.

Following an investigation, the Police told the court that the Branch Head of the Social Insurance Department, had detected that fake prescriptions were submitted to the Social Insurance Department, and that money had been requested from the government.

Providing information about the ongoing investigation and stating that the police were searching for another doctor related to the matter, 12 police statements were taken from the public. The police reported that the personal accounts of the suspects will also be examined.

Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ordered the suspects to be detained in police custody for 3 days on claims that they were involved in preparing false documents, putting documents into circulation, and fraudulently obtaining money and items from the government.
