Man’s body washes ashore in Rizokarpaso!


 

A man’s body was found washed up on the rocks on a beach at the picnic area in Dipkarpaz (Rizokarpaso), yesterday morning.

The police were not able to identify the body as yet and noted that an investigation was ongoing.
Meanwhile, a decomposed body belonging to a woman was also discovered washed up on the rocks on a beach in the hotels area in Bafra (Vokolida) January 8, last week.

Police said little is known about the person’s identity because of the body’s state of decomposition.

Head of the Human Rights Committee of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association (KTBB), Lawyer Aslı Murat, shared a post on her personal social media account regarding the dead bodies that keep washing up on Cyprus beaches.
Pointing out that no detailed explanation has been made on the issue, Murat said, “A woman’s body was found washed up on a beach a few weeks ago and now a male body. Who are these people and why are they dying this way? Are we at least curious? she asked.
