Ministry of Public Works “We will take necessary measures”


 

The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation announced that they will take the necessary measures against the regulations restricting transporters registered in North Cyprus carrying passengers to and from South Cyprus.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation in a statement said that they have received information that the Greek Cypriot Administration of South Cyprus is making several regulations restricting the passing of transporters registered in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to South Cyprus.
“As the Ministry, we respectfully announce to the public that while we are following up on this issue, we are holding meetings with sector representatives. We will take the necessary measures within the principles of reciprocity, according to the steps to be taken by the Greek Cypriot Administration of South Cyprus.”
