Transport Minister Arıklı held inspections at Metehan crossing point


 

Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, examined the road expansion work at the Metehan (Agios Demetios) crossing point.
Arıklı said that efforts are underway by the government in order to ease congestion at crossing points.

“CROSSINGS WILL INCREASE TRUST BETWEEN THE TWO SIDES”

Stating that serious congestion problems are being experienced at the crossing point, Arıklı said, “We need new crossing points. These reciprocal crossings will increase and trust between the two sides will help develop good neighbourly relations.”
Stating that work has been initiated to prevent the delays and snaking queues, especially at the Metehan checkpoint, Arıklı noted that the financing has been provided by the Economic Organizations Platform.
