14-year-old dies after crashing into house on the old Güzelyurt – Lefke main road!


 

Unlicensed 14-year-old driver Savaş Erdem Soybal, who was driving on the old Güzelyurt (Morphou) – Lefke (Lefka) main road, lost steering control and died after crashing into a garden and house wall.

According to a Police statement, the accident took place on the old Güzelyurt (Morphou) – Lefke (Lefka) main road. Driver of JG 531 registered vehicle, Savaş Erdem Soybal (M-14), who was heading towards Aydınköy (Prastio), lost steering control on a bend and was only able to stop after hitting a garden wall then a house wall at around 2.20 a.m. on February 14.

The 14-year-old driver Savaş Erdem Soybal, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is under way.

One of the two pedestrians who were hit by a vehicle on the Tuzla (Enkomi) – Mutluyaka (Stylloi) main road last night has also died.

With two fatal accidents in one night, the number of deaths in the traffic toll of 2024 in North Cyprus has increased to 6.
