Some roads closed to traffic over the weekend!

Some roads will be closed to traffic on Saturday and Sunday due to the marathon to be held on Sunday in memory of the Champion Angels in Gazimağusa (Famagusta).
A police statement announced road closures in preparation for the marathon. The Gazimağusa İsmet İnönü Boulevard between Kafe Kolik and MAGEM will be closed to traffic from 10 am on Saturday until 6 pm on Sunday. Vehicles will be diverted via alternative routes.

Both directions of Gazimağusa city roads, the Eastern Mediterranean University Campus (EMU), the Lions roundabout, Salamis Road, St Barnabas Road, and the Yeniboğaziçi (Agios Sergios) roundabout will be closed on Sunday from 6.30 am. It was stated that the Barnabas Road and the Yeniboğaziçi roundabout will be completely closed. Diversions will be provided.
It has also been noted that the Gazimağusa-Karpaz (Rizokarpaso) main road, between the Yeniboğaziçi roundabout and the Ötüken (Spathariko) roundabout, will be closed to traffic for vehicles traveling from Karpaz to Gazimağusa. A single lane will be provided to and from Gazimağusa-Karpaz.
Drivers have been urged to drive slowly and obey traffic signs, for their safety and the safety of those participating in the Marathon.
