One arrested at Agios Dometios border for possession of cocaine


 

One man has been arrested after cocaine was found in his possession while crossing Metehan (Agios Dometios) checkpoint.

Following a search carried out in M.E.K’s (31) vehicle, officers located 35 grams of cocaine and an electronic scales with drug deposits on it.

The individual who crossed from South to North of Cyprus was detected by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team at around 5 p.m. on May 21st.

M.E.K has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
