Ahead of World Environmental Day, UNFICYP military, United Nations Police – UNPOL and civilian staff participated in a cleanup Klapsides/Glapsides beach in Famagusta organized by the Mission and the Famagusta Walled City Association (MASDER).
Nearly 190 kilos of marine litter were collected, mostly small pieces of plastic and microplastics, contributing to a cleaner beach environment and protecting marine animals from harmful waste materials.
