Paphos named best small town in the world

Paphos has been recognized as the most livable city globally, according to a report by Compare the Market AU.

The report evaluated seven factors: the number of restaurants, entertainment options, unemployment rate, number of rainy days, health index score, safety score, and overall cost of living.

Paphos topped the list with a score of 5,495 out of 7. Spain’s Arrecife (4,717) and Italy’s Trapani (4,622) followed in second and third place, respectively. The ranking also featured two Greek cities, Ioannina and Xanthi.

The survey highlighted that Paphos boasts 500 restaurants and has an unemployment rate of 6.4%. The city has a safety index of 67.6 and experiences 70 rainy days annually.

The research indicates numerous advantages of living in smaller cities, such as a slower pace of life, easy access to nature, and more affordable housing. According to the research, smaller cities tend to be more budget-friendly due to lower demand.
