Naimoğulları “No compromise was reached, the protest continues”


 

A consensus could not be reached at the meeting between the Livestock Producers and Breeders Association and Government officials. The protest which has been ongoing for nine days will continue.

Naimoğulları met with government officials at around 4 p.m. yesterday.

-He called on livestock farmers to comply with the decision to stop the sale of live animals for a month.

Making a statement in front of the ministry following the meeting, Head of the Livestock Producers and Breeders Association Mustafa Naimoğulları noted that a consensus could not be reached if government officials continue with the same insistence.

“No compromise was reached, the protest continues” Naimoğulları was cited as saying and added that they tried every way during the meeting for a solution. He also relented to the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş by saying “Hüseyin Çavuş is tougher than the Minister of Economy.”

Naimoğulları stated that they will evaluate following decisions among themselves and noted that actions will continue.

Reminding that they decided to stop the sale of livestock animals for a month, he called on livestock breeders to comply with this decision.
