A cyclist dies in Strovolos

A 43-year-old cyclist, Sotiris Petridis, died yesterday afternoon after falling from his bicycle.
Petridis was cycling with a group in a forest in Strovolos. Around 6:30 p.m., the group noticed his absence and found him unconscious on a forest path after searching for him.
He was transported to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police examinations at the scene suggest that Petridis lost control of his bicycle while riding on a sloped forest path, causing him to fall and sustain a head injury. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation.
