Wanted man arrested at Larnaca airport


 

Police arrested a 41-year-old man at Larnaca Airport yesterday under a European arrest warrant for fraud charges.
The man arrived shortly yesterday after noon on a flight from a third country.
A follow up investigation revealed that he was wanted by German authorities for financial fraud offenses committed in Germany and other European countries between 2016 and 2023.
The man was taken into custody.
He is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court today to begin the extradition process to Germany.
The Larnaca CID continues its investigation.
