Financial resources for the completion of the Girne – Alsancak inadequate


 

Financial difficulties are being experienced on the completion of the Girne (Kyrenia) – Alsancak (Karavas) Road.
Transport Minister Erhan Arıklı spoke to Yenidüzen regarding the deficiencies of the Girne – Alsancak (Kyrenia – Karavas) road stating that the project could not be completed due to insufficient resources. “We carried out work according to the funds we had in hand,” he said. Arıklı reassured that with the new tender for the third stage to be held on Tuesday, funds for the completion of the insufficiencies of the road will be added. Arıklı said that they expected the tender to be concluded on September 5.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Lapta (Lapithos) – Alsancak (Karavas) – Çamlıbel (Myrtou) Municipality Fırat Ataser, said, “Our priority is for work to continue for the completion of the road. Traffic should work safely.”


The Head of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), Alsancak Organization from the Girne District Kazım Sakinoğlu, which led the recent action held in the region, informed that there were two accidents, one on the day of the action and one the next day and that the deficiencies should be overcome without delay.
