The Meteorology Department has issued its weather forecast for the period between 2 and 8 of September.
The region will generally be under the influence of a low pressure system with high levels of humidity on hot days. Temperatures are also set to drop on rainy days.
The weather will generally be clear and fine throughout the week with a few showers or thunderstorms are expected today and tomorrow.
The highest temperature will be around 35-38 degrees inland and 31- 34 degrees on the coasts.
Southerly and westerly moderate winds are expected with stronger winds during showers and storms.
