Shortage of medicine leave patients waiting!

Cancer patients in North Cyprus are experiencing problems finding medication in hospitals for their treatment, it has been reported.
According to Halkın Sesi news, Ministry of Health officials said that medicines are expected to arrive within 10 days. However, many patients do not have the financial power to buy medicines from pharmacies, especially the ones that cost up to 50 thousand TL, while waiting for the arrival from overseas.
Cancer patients via social media are borrowing medication from each other.
One cancer patient on social media said yesterday: “I need to start taking my chemotherapy pills this month, but our government has stopped purchasing medicines. My health is at risk. What have we done wrong? Why are we being affected? Has anyone got Polydomide that they can lend me?”

MEDICINE WORTH THOUSANDS ARE BEING THROWN AWAY

Meanwhile, during the medicine crisis being experienced in the country, many pharmacists who were involved in prescription forgery case were throwing away medicine worth thousands of TL that could have treated many patients.
Two garbage bags full of medicines with cut barcodes were found in the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) Industrial Zone area.
