Driver of JB 259 registered vehicle, hit motorcyclist Muhammad Hamad Nasrullah (M-22) riding UH 255 registered motorcycle, from behind on the Cengizköy (Peristeronari) – Yeşilyurt (Pentageia) road while heading towards Güzelyurt (Morphou) on Sunday.
According to a police report, motorcyclist Muhammad Hamad NASRULLAH (M-22) and passenger Zaryap RASHID (M-19) who were seriously injured following the accident, were admitted to the intensive care unit at the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
Following a further investigation, police detected that the driver of JB 259 registered vehicle, who escaped the scene, was identified as Kudret ŞARAFAT (M-28) and that he crossed from north to south Cyprus through the Bostancı border checkpoint following the incident.
