Delays at New Ercan Airport due to power disruption!

20 planes and nearly 3 thousand passengers were affected by the power cuts due to the failure of the electrical system at the New Ercan Airport terminal, this morning.
Flights returned to normal as of 11.30 am today, it has been reported.
Following the 4-5 hour airport delays, several passengers shared the situation at Ercan Airport, on their social media accounts.
According to information given by Civil Aviation Department Director Mustafa Sofi to the Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK), devices such as bellows, luggage belts and x-rays did not work, and there were delays in landing and take-off due to the malfunction in the electrical system caused by power disruption in some parts of the airport. Sofi said that 20 planes and around 3 thousand passengers were affected by this situation.
