Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, who was also stranded on the plane said “The power outage has left hundreds of passengers stranded. Our Prime Minister is also present at the airport. We will be investigating whether this is a technical malfunction or sabotage.”
Air traffic control officials has reacted to Arıklı’s statement.
Head of Air Traffic Controllers Union Cem Kapısız said, “We are experiencing the consequences of the inadequacies of aviation and the obligations that were not applied to private companies. If there is such sabotage, then it will only be the negligence of the country’s rulers.”
