Aircraft lands on wrong runway at Ercan Airport!

An aircraft belonging to AJET, bound from Ankara to Ercan, landed on the wrong runway.

Reports say that the AJET aircraft, flight number ‘VF555′, from Ankara to Ercan, landed on the ’11L’ runway instead of the ’11R’ runway.

Although a warning was given to the A320 aircraft by the Ercan Air Traffic Control at around 50-60 feet, the plane continued its descent and landed on the wrong runway.

Reports claim that it was a pilot mistake and that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
