Alsancak road works continue!


 

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel held on-the-spot investigations at the Alsancak dual-carriageway road in Girne, where the second phase of paving work has begun.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who was accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, gave technical information on the second stage of road work following inspections.

The Mayor of Lapta-Alsancak and Çamlıbel Fırat Ataser was also present.
Hüseyin Tüfekçi, the company director who undertook the tender said that the second stage of the Alsancak dual-carriageway road in Girne has begun and that following the implementation of telephone, water, fibre optic cables, and lighting infrastructure work, the concrete pavement casting will then be completed. Traffic is expected to return to normal following road works.
Tüfekçi said that around 30-35 thousand vehicles are using the roads daily and that work will continue for three days uninterruptedly.
He also stated that the first layer will be completed by the end of the week.
