Bomb explodes at a Paralimni bar restaurant


A bomb exploded in the Pernera area of Paralimni a bar restaurant in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to police sources, the alarm was raised at around 2 am. The blast caused a damage the building’s front door.

The police confirmed the presence of an explosive device strategically planted at the building’s entrance.
The nightclub itself was closed at the time of the explosion as it is only open during the summer months.

Police cordoned off the scene, as forensic teams set to collect evidence from the the affected area. Police investigation continues.
