Büyükkonuk ready for Eco Day


 

The 23rd Büyükkonuk ( Komi Kebir) Eco Day will be held on Sunday, October 8, it was announced on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference to promote the event, Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu reminded that the Büyükkonuk Eco Day event had been postponed for the last three years due to the pandemic and that they were excited to be reorganizing the popular festival.

“It is the greatest cultural goal of the Mehmetçik Büyükkonuk Municipality to keep alive the cultural life of our ancestors, keep alive our traditional food and drinks and our traditional handicrafts and to transfer them to future generations,” said Tuğlu.

In addition to a violin recital by Aytaç Çağın, folk dance performances by the Mehmetçik Culture and Solidarity Association, Hasder and Tatlısu Municipal Teams will also be performed at the festival.
