Construction firm denies any violations in Akamas

Cyfield Group, the contracted firm responsible for enhancing part of the existing main road network in the National Forest Park Akama, has stated that it is willing to implement modifications to the plans, provided clear directives are given.
According to Philenews, the company further stated that it has no intention of exploiting any proposed changes for financial gain.
The construction of a road network in Akamas received heavy criticism last week, following visits by environmentalist groups to the peninsula, reporting that construction is not following agreed protocols, leading to irreversible damage.
Speaking to Phileleftheros, Kyriakos Chrysochos, the founder of Cyfield Group, emphasised that the company has a heightened environmental awareness.
Any proposed improvements that respect the environment will not be financially exploited; instead, we are willing to collaborate,” stated Chrysochos.

The company has submitted a proposal for a six-month extension of the relevant contract to complete the works based on the procedures outlined in the agreement, citing technical changes and other issues that have arisen.
