Drunk driver arrested!


 

Peters Vitali, who was arrested following an accident that took place in Alsancak (Karavas), and after one person was seriously injured, has appeared in court. The court decided that Vitali should stay in custody for two days.


A police statement said that driver Peter Vitali who was under the influence of 297 mg of alcohol, and speeding was driving on the left side of a two-lane road on Karaoğlanoğlu Avenue in Alsancak (Karavas) heading east before crashing into driver Atilla Karagülle when Atilla carelessly tried to switch from right to the left lane at around 7.20 a.m. on March 23, 2024.
The police said that Karagülle was rushed to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) with life-threatening injuries.
