Ercan Airport expects peak in flights during Eid al-Adha

Ercan Airport is set to handle 878 flights, including scheduled, charter, and additional services (excluding private jets), as well as thousands of passengers during and after the Eid al-Adha ( Kurban Bayram) holiday.

The announcement comes after the government in Türkiye extended the Kurban Bayram holiday to nine days.

According to a statement from T&T Airport Management, Ercan Airport will accommodate 439 arriving and 439 departing flights during the 10-day period from June 14-23, which includes the holiday and its aftermath.
The peak day of activity is expected to be June 16, with the airport serving 98 flights (49 arrivals and 49 departures) on this day alone, coinciding with the first day of the holiday.

Serhat Özçelik, General Manager of T&T Airport Management, emphasized that additional plans and arrangements have been made to manage the expected increase in passenger volume during the holiday period.

During the 10-day period from June 14-23, Ercan Airport will handle 878 flights.

The airport’s efforts are geared towards ensuring a seamless travel experience for all passengers during the busy holiday season.
