Erdoğan and Ersin Tatar discuss economic issues and projects


Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar announced that he had a very productive meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Tatar met with Erdoğan in Istanbul yesterday. Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz also attended the meeting.
Speaking to Haber Kıbrıs, Tatar said that the meeting request came from them and that they discussed the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and the rapprochement between Türkiye and Greece.
Emphasizing that the policies between the two states were once again mutually confirmed, Tatar stated that the rapprochement between Türkiye and Greece is of great importance for regional peace and tranquility.
Tatar mentioned the topics brought up. He said that issues such as North Cyprus’ financial support, completion of unfinished investment projects, and contribution to the deficit caused by inflation were brought to the agenda.
Tatar emphasized that the consensus on electricity via cable and the construction of a new, large and modern hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) was reiterated.
