The Girne (Kyrenia)-Alsancak (Karavas) roundabout-underpass road towards Lefkoşa (Nicosia) has been closed to traffic due to flooding.
Police have issued warnings due to the adverse weather conditions affecting the country.
STREAM WATERS HAVE RISEN
Due to heavy downpours, muddy and gravel surface materials have poured into the roads following the rise of stream waters near Geçitköy (Panagra) the Karşıyaka (Vasileia)-Çamlıbel (Myrtou) main road.
The road in front of the Ileli Market on the Lapta (Lapithos) – Alsancak (Karavas) main road, towards Girne in Alsancak has been closed to traffic due to a build-up of water.
Vehicles are being diverted via the Mare Monte junction.
Police have called on drivers using this route to be careful.
