Livestock producers are taking their anger to the streets


 

The Livestock Producers and Breeders Association has decided to launch an indefinite vehicular protest in the capital Lefkoşa (Nicosia) next Monday.
Union officials also decided to increase the price of live animals in line with the cost of living.
The Board of Directors of the Livestock Producers and Breeders Association held a meeting at the Union building yesterday.
Union Head Mustafa Naimoğulları who spoke to the press said that despite giving a week’s warning to the government no steps have been taken on the issue.
Naimoğulları said that no initiatives regarding the price of raw milk or imported meat, have been put forward by the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
