A variety of events are being held across the country to celebrate International Working Women’s Day on March 8th, under the theme “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment.”
In Gazimağusa ( Famagusta) the Gazimağusa Cultural Association and Klotho hosted a joint event this afternoon at the Gazimağusa Avenue Garage. Additionally, a collaborative event supported by the Social Struggle Platform will take place in Derinya.
A photography exhibition titled “The Voice of Women” organized by TOVAD will open at 7:00 PM at Gazimağusa Bandabulya.
At 5:00 PM, KTÖS and EMU-SEN will hold an event at KTÖS headquarters called “Teachers and Politicians: Struggle for Equality and Against Discrimination.”
In Lefkoşa8 Nicosia), a painting exhibition titled “Here I Am” will be unveiled at the Eaved House at 6:00 PM.
The day will conclude with a concert by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra at 8:00 pm at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center.
