Olive oil fraud in North Cyprus!

The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) İskele Deputy Fide Kürşat said that a serious amount of adulterated olive oil was detected.
Making a written statement on the subject, Kürşat noted that businesses that previously put fraudulent olive oil into circulation were again caught selling counterfeit olive oil. He added that these businesses should be announced to the public by the Ministry of Agriculture.

ADULTERATED OIL CONSUMED IN HOTELS BY THE TIME THE QUALITY REPORT ARRIVED

Kürşat stated that following the analysis made on 66 products, 19 of them were found to be adulterated and these products were consumed in five-star hotels by the time the quality report had arrived from Türkiye. Kürşat said that adulterated oil was sold to hotels and the public at higher prices as people were told that the oil was pure and cheaper.
