Lefke (Lefka) resident Imaobong Godwin Akpan (42), has passed away.
A statement by the police said that Apkan, who suddenly fell ill at her house, was taken to the Cengiz Topel State Hospital for treatment, and then referred to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) but could not be saved despite all efforts. She passed away at around 1.15 p.m. yesterday the police announced.
The cause of her death will be determined following an autopsy report of blood and tissue samples. An investigation is continuing.
