One police officer injured in Mormenekşe – Geçitkale football clash!


A fight broke out during the Mormenekşe (Limnia) and Geçitkale (Lefkoniko) match yesterday.
A police officer’s head was split open and women were fainting, during the fight that broke out in the stands.
The Mormenekşe – Geçitkale match could not continue in the AKSA 1st League following the incidents that took place. Fury at the final whistle as the match ended in a 3-3 draw causing a fight to break out in the stands.

The police clashed with both sets of fans trying to calm the situation down.
After the match, both teams made statements blaming one another for the incident.
