Art director and former Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) Director Suat Arıkhan’s painting exhibition titled “Renk mi? Hiç sevmem” was held for the first time at the Rüstem Art Gallery in Lefkoşa (Nicosia).

Arıkan, whose paintings are mostly known in Istanbul and Copenhagen, and who had personal exhibitions in Rome, Cologne, and Ankara, and who participated in many group exhibitions, has opened his first exhibition in North Cyprus, Nicosia, on Saturday, April 20.

Arıkan said that he has been painting since 1974 and that he professionalized his painting life in Istanbul after Ankara.

Stating that, as an opera singer, he has been performing in numerous performances, especially at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) and all over Turkey, for 41 years, Arıkan noted that he was very happy to open his first exhibition in North Cyprus.
His painting exhibition will be open to visitors until May 1.
