TC leader Tatar gives good news on electricity via cable!

Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar referred to the importance of a sustainable development process and said that the new electricity cable project is a very important project.
Meanwhile, TC leader Tatar met with the newly appointed Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the Presidential Palace today. Following their meeting, Tatar and Yılmaz made a statement to the press.
Tatar stated that the Turkish people had put forth serious efforts and goodwill towards an agreement on a federal basis in Cyprus, but added that all attempts remained inconclusive.
Tatar pointed to the importance of a two-state settlement in Cyprus under sovereign equality, and equal international status and that the way forward can only be achieved with this policy.

Ersin Tatar stated this was once again confirmed during the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Electricity via cable is good news,” Tatar said and added that efforts have been made for many years to open the way for solar energy. He also added that North Cyprus was in need of electricity for economic development, and a cost-effective, clean, and sustainable environment.
He also mentioned that once connected to Türkiye the electricity cable interconnector will provide benefits as a system that protects the economy and the environment.
