Teachers went on strike


 

The Cyprus Turkish Teachers’ Union (KTÖS) and the Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union (KTOEÖS) were held a general strike in all public schools today.
The strike took place between 08:00-12:30.
Unions protested the Teachers Amendment Bill which is targeted Atatürk Teachers Academy and teacher rights.
Some political party representatives and the Trade Union Platform also participated in the teachers’ protest in front of the Assembly of the Republic and expressed their support.
