Technical Committee project in Cyprus has begun

The Interdisciplinary Center for Law, Alternative and Innovative Methods (ICLAIM) and the Human Rights Platform (HRP) joined their project ‘Inclusive Peacebuilding: Technical Committees in Cyprus’ funded by the European Union under the EU Assistance Program for the Turkish Cypriot community on March 18, 2023.
The three-year project focuses on bi-communal Technical Committees in 12 different areas, “established by Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot community leaders to address issues affecting people’s daily lives by encouraging and facilitating greater interaction and understanding between communities.”
According to a statement by ICLAIM and HRP, the aim of the research project is to generate knowledge and learn lessons about the functioning and effectiveness of 12 different bi-communal Technical Committees operating in Cyprus for over ten years.
