The 22nd Girne International Olive Festival which is taking place at the Zeytinlik Village Square in Girne (Kyrenia) will begin on Wednesday, October 4th.
The festival will host scientific presentations and seminars on olives and olive cultivation. Concerts by local singers, and traditional and modern dance shows will be performed during the event, the Girne Municipality reports.
Visitors will have the chance to taste and buy local food, drinks, olive products, handicrafts, and cultural-art products at the stands, that will be set up.
The Golden Olive Humor Service Awards Ceremony will also be held within the scope of the International Olive Humor Festival.
Meanwhile, visitors will also be able to visit the exhibition of the 12th International Olive Humor Festival and Cartoon Competition, the photo exhibition titled ‘Portraits’ by Ayşe Keçecioğlu, and ‘From Past to Present Folk Clothing` exhibition by Fogem, which will take place at the Zeytinlik Village Square from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
