Turkish Cypriot Bekir wins another championship


Bekir Devran Esendağlı tennis club player representing the Gazimağusa Municipality once again wins a championship in both singles and doubles at the ITF/Tennis Europe Development Championships 2023 tournament at age 12 in Istanbul.

Bekir becoming a champion in the matches with a clear score of 6-1 6-0 against his Latvian rival Artis Aire in the final match, in which athletes from about 20 different countries participated, proves how promising his level for the future is. The countries and ranks of Bekir’s opponents in the matches he won in the tournament are as follows;

1st round Kazakhstan #3
2nd round Türkiye
3rd round Latvia number 3
4th round Germany number 1

Semi-final Kazakhstan number 2

Final Latvia number 1
