Two fraudulent websites detected in North Cyprus!

The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (North Cyprus) warned citizens who are looking to pay road tax, MOT inspection, and departure tax fees online, to be aware of fake websites opened for fraudulent purposes.

The ministry noted that two more websites opened for this purpose were detected.

According to a statement by the Ministry, vehicle owners wanting to pay the road tax fee online and search for “KKTC Seyrüsefer” on Google have encountered websites opened for fraudulent purposes.

It was noted that two websites using the names “e-odeme.com” and “e-bubgov.mobi” were detected.

In the statement, it was emphasized that the only address to pay road tax, MOT inspection, and departure tax fees for vehicles via credit card is “https://online.vergi.gov.ct.tr” belonging to the Tax Office.

It was stated that the website was also linked via the website of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, “www.bub.gov.ct.tr”.
